Your family’s photos, printed as a monthly newspaper.
Everyone shares photos and voice notes in one private app. At the end of the month we lay them out as a real printed family newspaper and post it to your parents. No app for them, no password, nothing to log in to — just a paper on the mat.
We are building it now, for winter 2026. There is nothing to buy here and nothing to sign up to — if you would like to hear when it is ready, or you have a question about it, write to us and one of us will answer.
How it works
-
Your family posts the month
A photo from the school gate. A voice note recorded in the car. Three lines about the tomatoes. Anyone you invite can add to it from their phone, whenever it happens, in a private space that is only your family.
-
We lay out the edition
At the end of the month we set it as a newspaper: a masthead, a lead story, the birthdays, the drawings. Our software — yes, AI — does the first layout and turns a voice note into something you can read. It is the typesetter, not the author: somebody in your family reads the whole edition and approves it before it goes anywhere.
-
It lands in their letterbox
We print it and post it. There is nothing for the person receiving it to install, unlock or remember. It arrives the way the Sunday paper arrives, with your family in it instead of strangers.
What actually arrives
A real newspaper, not a photo book and not a file to download. It prints on A4 pages with your family’s own masthead across the top, and the photographs run large enough to be looked at properly across a kitchen table.
We are designing it to be read without anyone hunting for their glasses: generous type, heavy contrast, short columns. It is meant to be handled, passed round, and end up stuck on a fridge door — which is the one thing a phone screen can never do.
For the people who are not on the group chat
The best five minutes of someone’s month can be the walk back from the letterbox.
Most families are already close. They are just spread out. The photos get taken, the group chat moves fast, and the person who would most love to see all of it is the one who is not in it — who does not scroll, or who opens a message and cannot make the picture bigger.
A phone call covers the headlines. It rarely covers the small things: what the little one said, the tomatoes, the haircut, the Tuesday that turned out well. Those are the things that go quietly missing in the camera roll, and they are exactly what a monthly paper is good at keeping.
Who is making this
Postalino is two people. We are building it now, in the open, and we would rather tell you what is not decided yet than pretend everything is.
- Joseph Bampton
- Co-founder. Builds the product and the printing pipeline.
- Baptiste Bondon
- Co-founder. Design, the editions, and the families we build them for.
- Your family’s photos and stories are visible only to the people you invite. Never public.
- No advertising, ever — not in your family’s paper, and not on this page.
- We do not sell or share your data, and we do not build a profile on you.
- Nothing is printed until someone in your family has read the edition and approved it.
We have no customers yet, so there are no reviews or testimonials on this page. When there are real ones, they will be from real families who agreed to be quoted.
Questions, or want to be one of the first families? Write to info@postalino.com and one of us will answer.
Tell us what your family would want
There is nothing to buy on this page and no account to make. We are two people building this in the open, and at this stage the most useful thing anyone can send us is what their own family would actually want from a paper like this.
Write to info@postalino.com. A question, a thought, or just “keep me posted” — we read every one, we will tell you when the first editions are printed, and we will not pass your address to anybody.
Questions people ask
How does the family newspaper work?
You start a family and invite whoever should be in it. Through the month everyone posts photos, voice notes and short updates. Our software lays that out as an edition and transcribes the voice notes — that part is AI, and we would rather say so than not. Nothing is written for you, and nothing prints until someone in your family has read the edition and approved it. Then we print it and post it to the address you choose.
Do grandparents need a phone or an app?
No. That is the whole point. The person receiving the paper needs no phone, no app, no account and no password. If they would also like to read it on a screen, they can — but nothing asks them to.
Who can see our photos?
Only the people invited to your family. Your editions are not public, are not indexed by search engines, and are not shown to anyone else. There is no advertising in the product and no third party buying your data.
Will it cost money?
Yes, eventually. Printing a paper and putting it in the post costs real money, so this will be something families pay for. We have not set a price, nothing on this page is for sale, and there is nothing here to sign up to. When there is a price it will be on this site before anyone is ever asked for a card, and cancelling will be a button in your account rather than an email you have to write.
Where do you post to?
We are starting in Spain, so the first editions are printed and posted to Spanish addresses. If your family is somewhere else, write and tell us where — that is genuinely how we will decide which country comes next.
What languages will it be in?
Spanish and English. Another language comes only when we launch in a country that speaks it, with a native speaker checking every word first. Translation of your family’s own words is never automatic: what you write is what prints.
When does it launch?
Winter 2026. If you would like to hear when, or to be one of the first families we print for, write to us and we will let you know.
